At Balmoral Hall School, we offer 14 Advanced Placement (AP) courses, including chemistry, biology, physics 1, physics 2, calculus AB, microeconomics, psychology, English literature and composition, English language and composition, computer science principles, computer science A, and studio art drawing, 2-D, and 3-D.
In fact, Balmoral Hall is the only school in Manitoba offering AP Microeconomics!
Additionally, we offer students the opportunity to challenge AP exams in calculus BC, French, Chinese, Spanish, and Japanese.
Each year, our AP students in grades 11 and 12 are recognized by The College Board as an:
AP Scholar, those students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams;
AP Scholar with Honor, those students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, as well as scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams; and
AP Scholar with Distinction, those students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, as well as scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
Consistently in the last three school years, we have had at least one student recognized as a National AP Scholar (Canada), those students in Canada who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP exams taken, as well as scores of 4 or higher on five or more of these exams.
