Tuition Support

Tuition Support Starting in Kindergarten

Tuition support is available to any student from Kindergarten to Grade 12 who wishes to attend Balmoral Hall School, but for whom the full tuition may not be possible for her family.

The school's tuition support program awards up to a maximum of 50% towards tuition and boarding fees.
  • Balmoral Hall works with Apple Financial Services, an external organization that evaluates the individual financial needs of families. This ensures that financial information provided is held in complete confidence.

  • Apple Financial provides a recommendation to Balmoral Hall School for each applicant which then guides the level of tuition support offered.

  • There is no cap on the number of students who can be awarded tuition support each year.

  • Families are required to re-apply every year to ensure that the evaluation of each particular family's financial situation and resources is current.

Bursaries & Scholarships

While the school's tuition support program has a maximum award of 50%, there are a number of bursaries and scholarships that are also awarded each year. These can help further reduce the overall tuition paid.
  • Once you complete an application with Apple Financial Services and qualify for tuition support, you are automatically considered for bursaries & scholarships.

  • Many of these bursaries & scholarships are based on students' interests, academic achievement, or other criteria, and are most often awarded to students in Senior School.

  • Please note that the bursary committee tends to look more favourably at families who have qualified for 50% tuition support when allocating bursaries.

  • Bursaries & scholarships are possible thanks to the generosity of many donors who have contributed to the endowment at Balmoral Hall School. We are grateful for their support.

How to Apply for Tuition Support

STEP 1: Apply to Balmoral Hall School

In order to apply for tuition support, we encourage you to first apply to become a student. Please visit our How to Apply page for details.

STEP 2: Apply for Tuition Support

Please read Apple Financial Services' Frequently Asked Questions carefully before you begin.

You can then apply for tuition support by completing a Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) with Apple Financial Services.

STEP 3: Decision

After completing your application, the adjudication process takes approximately 2-3 weeks. Apple Financial Services will provide Balmoral Hall School with a recommended level of support for your child(ren). Families are then notified of the decision.

If your family qualifies for more than 50% the bursary committee will meet to review applications and determine whether additional support can be offered through bursaries & scholarships.

Returning students

Returning students are encouraged to complete the Apple Financial Services application in December or January. This allows time for the recommendations to be received by Balmoral Hall School and for offers to be made prior to the re-enrolment deadline (February 28, 2019). The deadline for tuition support applications for returning students is August 1.

New students

New students may apply for tuition support at the time of registration at any time of year. We do require, however, that the Apple Financial Services application be completed within 1 month of finalizing your enrolment.
