Boarding students were delighted to receive their care packages from Balmoral Hall Parent Association (BHPA), October 2020.

SPECIAL DELIVERY FOR BOARDING STUDENTS

By Jenny-Lou Ryan, BHPA Volunteer Coordinator

“There is in each of us so much goodness that if we could see its glow, it would light the world.” – Sam Friend

Balmoral Hall Parent Association (BHPA) would like to thank Boarding Liaison Lori Stewart for coordinating the first of our three-part initiative that focuses on boarding students, Boarding Blitz #1 — Care Packages. In partnership with Dean of Boarding Bin Dong Jiang, we brought a little love and caring from the school community to our international students. We appreciate the time and effort of these ladies in making sure boarding girls connect with day families so that someday soon they may do so in person. Lori’s enthusiasm and commitment to her role shines through again and again in her emails to families and boarding staff. She has one lovely daughter at Balmoral Hall, Matheson, who is in Grade 6.

We would also like to thank the nearly 30 families who, with overwhelming generosity, provided care packages to our boarding girls.

Extra care packages are reserved for our boarding students who have not yet arrived from overseas, as this welcome will help with their adjustment to Balmoral Hall School and Canada in the coming weeks.

This initiative was designed to connect boarding students with our BH family, even from afar, and is part of our ongoing commitment to the school to connect families in our entire school community. We are so lucky to have such great volunteers! Thank you, all!
