Birthday Book Club

How You Can Support The Library

A longstanding tradition, in partnership with Balmoral Hall Parent Association (BHPA), Birthday Book Club is a way for families to celebrate their child’s birthday while supporting the library.

Once donations are made to Birthday Book Club, students will choose a brand-new book from a wide selection with help from library staff. Then, their names will be added to a bookplate on the front cover, and they will be the first to borrow it. Their name will be written on a leaf to be added to our much-loved “growing tree” in the library.

Students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 will be invited to choose their own books. Students in Junior Nursery, Senior Nursery, and Junior Kindergarten will have their books selected by library staff.
Birthday Book Club helps to keep our library growing. To join, please make your tax-deductible "Birthday Book" gift via one of the following methods. Donations tend to range between $25 and $250.

Any questions may be directed to the philanthropy office at (204) 784-1615 or philanthropy@balmoralhall.ca.

Please note that the Birthday Book Club runs from September to June annually. Summer birthdays can be celebrated in June or September depending on the timing of your contribution.
