How to Apply


Balmoral Hall School admits students for the upcoming September on a continuous basis. Applications are accepted year-round, but we encourage applicants to apply as early as possible as space in each grade as well as our boarding facilities is limited.
The purpose of the admissions process is to help future students and their families become more familiar with Balmoral Hall and to help the school get to know the student. Our Admissions Team works closely with families to make the application process as straightforward as possible.
 
Step 1: Complete the Online Application
 
Once you begin an online application, you will be asked to create a username and password to apply online and stay connected with the school throughout the process. The login information will be important to have through the process.
For the online admission application process, families will need to complete the following:
  • Student Information
  • Family Information Section
  • Student Questionnaire
  • Parent Questionnaire
  • Upload applicant’s report cards for the past two years
  • Upload applicant’s birth certificate (if applicable)
  • Applications also require the teacher recommendation forms to be completed and submitted to us as part of the application.
  • Pay the non-refundable application fee: $175 CAD 

Step 2: After Receipt of Application
 
2 and 3 years BH Beginnings
 
Once we receive your completed application, you will be contacted by a member of the Admissions team to arrange an interview.
 
JK to Grade 5 Junior School
 
Once we receive your completed application, you will be contacted by a member of the Admissions team to arrange for an interview and assessment.
 
Grades 6-8 Middle School and Grades 9 to 12 Senior School
 
Once we receive your completed application, you will be contacted by a member of the Admissions team to arrange for an assessment and interview.

  • Application

    Our application can be found online at https://balmoralhall.myschoolapp.com/app#login/apply. The application gives you the opportunity to tell us about your daughter and why she should attend Balmoral Hall School. The application must be filled out thoroughly and a non-refundable payment of $175 must be made in order for the application to be completed.
  • Documentation

    After the application is completed, it is required that every applicant must submit teacher recommendation from their current English and math teachers. These can be located on your BH account under the recommendation step and emailed to each teacher. Also to be submitted is your daughter(s) current and last year’s final report card.
  • Assessment and Interview

    In order to move on to the next step in the admissions process, every applicant (Junior Kindergarten- Grade 12) is required to take our BH entrance assessment. Our assessments are not graded; rather it is designed to see where your daughter sits with other girls in the same age group. Applicants and their families are also scheduled in for interviews. No preparation is needed for assessment or interview.
  • Campus Visit

    We strongly encourage families to experience Balmoral Hall School in person. This experience allows individuals to get a strong feel on our school environment as well as the opportunity to see current students and faculty in action. We offer open houses each year however, we are available for scheduled personal tours throughout the school year and summer months.

  • Decision

    After the assessment and interview are completed, the candidates file will be reviewed by the admissions team and a decision will be made. Once the school's decision is made, it will be posted on your BH account and an email will be sent to notify you.
     
    In the case of an acceptance, families must let Balmoral Hall know whether they are accepting or decline the offered place in our school.
  • Contract

    Once you have accepted Balmoral Hall’s decision, a contract will be offered by the school. The contract is to be signed and submitted back to Balmoral Hall through both parent(s)/guardian(s) BH account.
  • Financial Aid

    Financial assistance is available to any family who wishes for their daughter to attend Balmoral Hall School, but for whom the full tuition rate may not be possible. An external organization (Apple Financial Services) evaluates the financial need of individual families. This ensures the financial information you provide is held in complete confidence.
