Kati Tabin ‘15

Member of Glen Gairn house, Kati attended BH for Grades 7-12 and played three years on the BH Blazers Prep Hockey team. After Balmoral Hall, she played collegiately at Quinnipac University where she served as captain in her senior season where she earned a Bachelors degree in business marketing and a Master’s in business administration.  Following her post-secondary studies, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, she didn't see any options to continue playing hockey. Hearing from others "It's time to get a real job Kati", she decided to hang up her skates and became an on-ice instructor. However, being surrounded by the energy of youth hockey made her realize how much she missed playing the sport.

Tabin, returned to competitive hockey in 2022 with the Toronto Six of the Premier Hockey Federation. While balancing a second job in the marketing department of Yamaha Motor Canada, she led all defenders in scoring and helped Toronto win the Isobel Cup.

When the PWHL launched in 2023, Tabin was selected 30th overall by Montreal in the inaugural draft. Kati Tabin debuted with the National Women's Team during the Rivalry Series with Team USA in the fall of 2025, just a few years after coming out of retirement. Her favourite quote: "Work hard in silence, let your success be the noise". Let’s make some noise for Kati and Team Canada, at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Games! https://olympic.ca/schedule-2026-winter-olympics/
