As I flew to Vancouver last week to attend the most recent Balmoral Hall School Foundation event, I must admit that I had no idea what to expect. Yet, I flew home with an overwhelming feeling of success and a strong belief in the school’s future! Cheques were written, and then one alumna offered to match, dollar for dollar, funds raised that evening.
My daughters are third-generation BH girls, and my family continues to reap the rewards of this amazing all-girls education. I feel compelled to give this opportunity to any girl of promise eligible for admission. As I told the ladies in Vancouver, we must make this a reality, and I need your help.
On September 17, 14 alumnae ranging in age from 30 to 86 gathered at the most spectacular home of Jeannie (Riley) Senft '67 to celebrate the foundation's efforts. Some had not seen each other since the day they graduated. Tears were shed as friends reunited. What a night we had, sharing in our commitment to the future of our alma mater.
I can hardly wait for my next journey to share more news of endowment growth and the lives changed by financial aid!
