A Holiday Pop-Up Craft Sale

A HOLIDAY POP–UP CRAFT SALE

By Payton Klassen & Leeza Goldberg, Grade 9

This year, we are taking Visions & Ventures as our elective class. The course focuses on entrepreneurship, emphasizing what skills and attributes are necessary to be a successful entrepreneur, what is important to consider when looking for business opportunities, and what factors to be aware of in order to successfully create and run a business. We have had many amazing guest speakers in our class this term, and, after taking advice from them, we have been preparing to launch our first joint business venture, A Holiday Pop-Up Craft Sale!

We are excited to present our craft sale to you at a number of dates in December. We will be selling exclusive products that we have manufactured ourselves, including 3-D printed ornaments and stretchy bracelets, as well as candles, soap, mason jar hot chocolate, and more. In addition to all this, we will have a contest to guess the number of candies at a dollar per guess!

Your opportunities to purchase these are as follows:
  • December 6 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Junior School Holiday Concert – Westminster United Church
  • December 14 & 15 (a.m.) at BH Beginnings Holiday Concert – Balmoral Hall Atrium
  • December 15 & 18 from 12:05 – 1:25 p.m. – Balmoral Hall Atrium
We have self-funded this venture, and are hoping that if successful we will raise some money to fund our own sole proprietor business ventures to be showcased later on in the school year. If we do well with our own businesses, monies made will be donated to charity. Crafts will be priced from $2 to $5.
