Marilyn R. Robinson, G ’23

I have built a professional career spanning more than 35 years in management and executive roles in human resource management and marketing in the private and public sectors as well as in a major crown corporation.

I believe grandparents have an important role in supporting and being engaged with Balmoral Hall School, which is why I joined Balmoral Hall School’s Board of Governors in 2016 and served as Chair from 2019–2021. After my term as chair ended, I expressed interest in continuing to volunteer, joining BH Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2022. My granddaughter, Katherine, graduated in 2023.

I feel truly passionate about the value of an all-girls education and helping young women to have the confidence and enhanced learning opportunities to make a positive difference in our society. With my involvement, I hope to continue to help our girls to be successful leaders. Our directors are very knowledgeable and are so committed to and passionate about Balmoral Hall School — our mission, vision, and values. It is very encouraging to be part of the team.

Opening opportunities through endowed bursary funds is a passion that I strongly believe is important for the well-being of our community.  Endowment positively enhances the lives of very deserving young women and the entire student population at Balmoral Hall.  As a woman in business, I have seen the rewards and importance of confidence and leadership for aspiring young women.  Even though my granddaughter recently graduated, my passion for serving BH Foundation and supporting all girls of promise continues.
