April 22 is Earth Day, and Balmoral Hall School is encouraging eco-friendliness in many ways. From campus cleanup to litterless lunches, we are thinking greener this spring. Students are reusing water bottles, reducing food waste, and, notably, recycling plastic bags.
PLASTIC BAG GRAB
Did you know that more than 1 billion plastic bags are handed out in Canada every year?! Balmoral Hall is participating in a nationwide challenge, and there are many prizes available for schools that collect the most bags per student. Green Team leaders Elizabeth B and Erika H, who are in Grade 5, are collecting plastic bags daily this week. They encourage all students to bring in theirs. Help us help the environment!
