The Balmoral Hall Blazer’s senior school soccer team is a competitive force in the MHSAA Zone 12 division. For the past three years the Blazer’s have won the Zone 12 Championships and moved on to provincials. Although Balmoral Hall is a small school with a small roster, especially compared to their provincial opponents, they have always held their own, setting team goals that have been accomplished each year.
The season begins before spring break with practices in the Richardson Athletic Centre and extends to the end of May with practices and home games at Wildwood Field. The Blazer’s typically play or practice three nights a week. The soccer season allows the girls to be active in a competitive setting while maintaining a balanced academic schedule, as the games and practices are early in the evening and the season is short.
Currently the team is undefeated in its 2009-2010 season and plays its last scheduled game at Wildwood Field May 25, 2010.
