Middle School - Challenging and Engaging
The Middle School Curriculum is being transformed! It is taking on a new global focus that encompasses the philosophy of the IB Middle Years Program (Grades 6 - 10). As students move towards university, the MYP focuses on learning the skills and concepts needed for success. Teachers provide learner-centered activities that relate to the interests, talents, and needs of our students.
At the heart of Balmoral Hall School stands "The Schoolgirl" by internationally acclaimed sculptor Leo Mol . She carries the
inscription "Education is not preparation for life, education is life itself" ~ John Dewey
The BH Curriculum
The Academic Pillar introduces the curriculum model and course selections for each level of the BH education. The academic areas are aligned to provide continuity and a progressive build up of good learning habits, self-confidence and thorough understanding of the academic subject areas. Best practices for girls underpin the learning at each developmental level ensuring students achieve their personal best.
The Middle School curriculum is based on a well-rounded program with an emphasis on more challenging material.
